The Role:

The RCH Weight Management Service provides tertiary, multidisciplinary care for children and young people referred with complex obesity. The service provides multidisciplinary assessment and management. It encompasses the medical specialties of Neurodevelopmental Medicine, General Paediatrics and Endocrinology. Allied health disciplines include Psychology, Dietetics and Social Work.


This administrator role is vital in assisting the Weight Management Service to run efficiently and effectively. The administrator will be required to facilitate patient engagement with the service through administrative tasks relating multidisciplinary team meetings, bookings, referral management, attendance follow up and linkages to community resources. The administrator may also be required to assist the multidisciplinary team with tasks relating to the recruitment of staff, optimising clinic efficiency, ensuring completion and accuracy of billing and, staff training and development.
