The Hospital:

The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) provides secondary and tertiary care to children and young people across the northern and western suburbs; specialist paediatric healthcare to the children of Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and parts of South Australia; and is the designated state-wide provider of services including paediatric trauma, rehabilitation and forensic medicine. As a quaternary centre for complex cardiac surgery and organ transplantation, the RCH cares for the sickest children from around Australia.

The Role:

Specialist Clinics operates all medical outpatient services within the RCH. The position of Customer Service Officer- Specialist Clinics is a front line customer service role involving a high level of interaction with patients and their families, medical, nursing and allied health staff. The position will be responsible for performing a broad range of administrative and customer focused duties, ranging from scheduling initial appointments through to discharge from specialist clinics.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A high level of customer service skills
  • Demonstrated experience in using computer applications, including but not limited to, RMS, EPIC and IBA
  • Previous experience working in a busy front line customer service based role
  • Previous call centre experience
