The Hospital:

The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) provides secondary and tertiary care to children and young people across the northern and western suburbs; specialist paediatric healthcare to the children of Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and parts of South Australia; and is the designated state-wide provider of services including paediatric trauma, rehabilitation and forensic medicine. As a quaternary centre for complex cardiac surgery and organ transplantation, the RCH cares for the sickest children from around Australia.

The Role: 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join us as the Director, Education Institute. The purpose of this role is to improve learning outcomes for children and young people (4-18+) who are students at the RCH through strategic leadership and management of the RCH Education Institute.

 

This includes ongoing review and improvement of service delivery; development of strategic partnerships to benefit students/ patients; and integration of teaching and learning into the care provided to children and adolescents by the RCH. 

 

The director's role is to develop departmental workforce cohesion, capability and vitality, with a clear focus on the delivery of high quality education support for child and adolescent patients of the RCH, and other healthcare services if/as required.
