Position Summary

Associate Nurse Unit Manger – Possum and Day of Surgery 

 

Employment: Part time, fixed term parental leave

Salary:           $97,770.40 - $101.056.80 (pro-rata)

Location:       Parkville – Hub of the medical precinct and leading Children’s hospital

The Position:

 

Possum Ward currently seeking and Associate Nurse Unit Manager for fixed term parental leave replacement.

 

The Possum Ward cares for patients admitted for a wide range of surgical procedures including tonsillectomy, simple fracture setting, arthroscopy, soft tissue wound repair, cleft lip repair, hernia repair, skin grafting and cardiac catheterisation.  You will have the opportunity to work with medical, nursing, allied health and administrative staff in a short stay environment.

 

The ANUM is crucial in supporting the development of the nursing team on the unit and ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment. 

 

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio (PPP).
  • Recent experience in an acute, medical, surgical, and/or speciality area of nursing.
