The Program and the Role:


The Royal Children’s Simulation Program invites applications for the 2018 Simulation Fellowship Program. Through this program we will build capacity across the campus for simulation to be used as an educational tool to assist all health professionals to deliver great care. 


Medical Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic allied health professional to support a busy and exciting Simulation Program. You will have a strong interest in developing and delivering state of the art simulation education in a dynamic clinical environment, within your department, and across the campus.


The Fellowship will provide the individual with the opportunity to train in the theory and practice of simulation, participate in current and new simulation activities across the Hospital, as well as form the basis of an “apprenticeship to Simulation” which includes attendance, participation and completion of Simulation Train the Trainer modules facilitated by the RCH Simulation Team.


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A current RCH employee status
  • A tertiary qualification in an Allied Health profession with acute experience
  • Current Registration with AHPRA (where professionally relevant)
  • Eligibility for membership in Victoria of an appropriate professional body
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in adult learning

To also be eligible to apply, you must be currently working at least 2 days a week in your current role – that way, you would do 1 day with Simulation and 1 day with your home department.
