The Role:

The EMR Inpatient Application Manager will be responsible for the management and leadership of the EMR Inpatient application team for RCH. You will work collaboratively with all application managers for RCH and Connecting Care Program, the EMR team, the EMR vendor and the health services across the Connecting Care Program.


The Connecting Care EMR Program is a digital partnership between Melbourne Health (MH), The Royal Women’s Hospital (RWH), Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) and the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) to transform patient care and research in the Parkville precinct. Connecting Care will expand the cutting-edge RCH Epic EMR to operate across the four health services, creating one powerful shared clinical and research system and setting a new benchmark for EMR technology in Australia.


The EMR Inpatient Application Manager will manage and lead the following RCH application teams:

  • EpicCare Inpatient (Clinical Documentation and Results and Orders)
  • Willow (Pharmacy)
  • ASAP (Emergency Department)
  • OpTime (Theatre)
  • Anaesthesia

The EMR Inpatient Application Manager will be responsible for managing the Inpatient Application Team to deliver 24 x 7 application support, EMR incident management, business continuity, and testing and ongoing system improvements for RCH. The role will work collaboratively with the Connecting Care Inpatient Application Manager to support the design and implementation of the EMR to Parkville Health Services.
