The Role:

The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides primary health care clinical services to high risk young people via ‘drop in’ clinics, clinical refuge outreach and clinical street outreach. The Clinical Nurse Consultant also plays a key role in fostering working relationships with stakeholders and in planning, implementation and reporting on YPHS services.


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive post graduate nursing experience.
  • Minimum of two years in an advanced practice nursing role in a community setting, preferably with adolescents and young adults
  • A master’s qualification in either adolescent health, public health, community health, mental health, sexual and reproductive health or forensic health is highly desirable.
