Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Immunisation 

 

Employment:  Part time, Ongoing

Salary:            $93,600.00 per annum (pro-rata)

Location:        Parkville – Hub of the medical precinct and leading Children’s hospital

The Position:

The Immunisation Service provides immunisations and immunisation advice for the hospital and the general community.  There is a telephone advice line, an opportunistic immunisation drop-in centre and a weekly outpatient clinic.  There is an active program of catch-up immunisation for all patients attending RCH and programs for patients with special immunisation needs.

 

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator within the Immunisation service is primarily responsible to provide immunisation advice to doctors, nurses, parents and community immunisation providers, opportunistic immunisation to the patients, visitors and staff of the RCH and work with the weekly outpatient clinic, in line with the RCH-wide philosophy and culture of patient and family centred care, vision and values.

 

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio (PPP).
  • Accreditation as a Nurse Immuniser, having successfully completed an approved program of study for Immunisers that has been recognised by the Chief Health Officer.
