The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) provides secondary and tertiary care to children and young people across the northern and western suburbs; specialist paediatric healthcare to the children of Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and parts of South Australia; and is the designated state-wide provider of services including paediatric trauma, rehabilitation and forensic medicine. As a quaternary centre for complex cardiac surgery and organ transplantation, the RCH cares for the sickest children from around Australia.

The Position:

The Communications Coordinator provides support across the Communications Department through the coordination of events, divisional reports, the sourcing and ordering of collateral and other requirements to ensure the RCH’s brand integrity is maintained and communications channels are monitored and optimised. The position will be the key contact point for requests to the Communications Department and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of key organisational projects. Other duties include purchasing, administration and roster coordination to support the Communications, Creative Services, Digital and Clinical Support teams.

 

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in providing quality support to a multi-skilled team of professionals. In addition, you will have:

  • Highly-effective time management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder liaison and customer services skills 
  • High proficiency in the MS Office Suite 
  • Experience in coordinating events 
  • Experience in report preparation 
  • Keen attention to detail 
  • Excellent presentation skills
