This Role: Provides occupational therapy services to inpatient and outpatient infants, children and adolescents requiring assessment and intervention of their ability to engage in daily activities. This role sits within the occupational therapy musculoskeletal team, with areas of practice involving hand therapy across multiple domains. Service delivery within other OT clinical areas may be required to meet workforce demands.  Other duties may be directed by the OT Manager.


To be successful in this role you will have:


  • Experience in providing assessment and intervention to outpatients with a range of musculoskeletal conditions and functional impairments in a time-limited acute model of care
  • Commitment to evidence based practice, and integration into every day clinical care
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and refer to community service providers for ongoing care when required
  • Commitment to ongoing education and skill development
  • Demonstrated ability to educate patients/parents/discipline staff/ multidisciplinary team and members of the wider community to minimise risk and promote successful outcomes in patient care
