The Role: The Department of Neurology is one of the busiest child neurology services in Australia. In addition to general neurology, the department offers subspecialist care in epilepsy, neuromuscular diseases, stroke, neurogenetics, neurofibromatosis, neuro-oncology and movement disorders.


The Neuroimaging Scientist position is a 3 year fixed term, half-time. Assessment for this position will include personal CV and references. Applicants will then be short-listed for an interview. 


Applicants must be eligible for registration as a Medical Scientist, Psychologist or Medical Practitioner in Australia. International applicants must be able to obtain an appropriate visa. Successful applicants must also hold a current Victorian Working with Children Card prior to commencing employment and have successfully passed a police check.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current Registration as a Medical Scientist, Psychologist or Medical Practitioner in Australia.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a field of neuroscience relevant to clinical neuroimaging.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysis of brain imaging, including functional MRI and diffusion tractography.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Must have a Psychology, Medical or Science degree and have the relevant experience in the Neuroimaging field
