Position Summary

Grade 3 Hospital Pharmacist – Children’s Cancer Centre

  • Full-Time, Fixed-term role
  • Leadership of Children’s Cancer Centre pharmacy staff and management of section.
  • Long Service Leave cover to ensure continuity and maintenance of service

The Role:

The successful applicant will need to step up from their current RCH role, and take over the leadership and management of the Children’s Cancer Centre (CCC) pharmacy for a fixed-term period of approximately 4 months. A major additional responsibility is the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care – as both a manager and CCC team member – to all RCH oncology patients. The strong liaison with specialist nursing and medical staff, as part of an established role, will need to be maintained.

 

Appointment to the position will be from mid May to mid September, 2019.

 

Participation in all oncology pharmacy work and contribution to pharmacy patient services is expected, including CCC pharmacy on-call and weekend work allocation.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • AHPRA registration, as a pharmacist able to practice in Australia 
  • Significant experience as a hospital pharmacist, and be an existing employee of the RCH Pharmacy Department.
  • Desirable experience in paediatric oncology pharmacy services.
  • Demonstrated success in senior and leadership roles.
  • Post-graduate qualifications, or current study towards these – highly regarded.
