Position Summary

Registered Nurse – Koala Ward

 

Employment:   Part time & Full Time roles available

Location:         Parkville – Hub of the medical precinct and leading Children’s hospital

 

The Hospital:

The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) provides secondary and tertiary care to children and young people across the northern and western suburbs; specialist paediatric healthcare to the children of Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and parts of South Australia; and is the designated state-wide provider of services including paediatric trauma, rehabilitation and forensic medicine. As a quaternary centre for complex cardiac surgery and organ transplantation, the RCH cares for the sickest children from around Australia.

The Position:

Ensure that clinical practice and delivery of care is consistent with RCH and Australian Nurses and Midwifery Council standards, by providing comprehensive, safe, evidence-based practice to facilitate optimal health outcomes

 

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and autonomously as required
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible to changing priorities and environment Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
