The Hospital:

The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) provides secondary and tertiary care to children and young people across the northern and western suburbs; specialist paediatric healthcare to the children of Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and parts of South Australia; and is the designated state-wide provider of services including paediatric trauma, rehabilitation and forensic medicine. As a quaternary centre for complex cardiac surgery and organ transplantation, the RCH cares for the sickest children from around Australia.

The Role: 

Provides occupational therapy services to inpatient and outpatient infants, children and adolescents requiring assessment and intervention of their ability to engage in daily activities. It is a two year fixed term rotation within the areas of neuroscience and orthopaedics. Service delivery within other OT clinical areas may be required to meet workforce demands.  Other duties may be directed by the OT Manager. 


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Some experience in acute tertiary hospitals &/or paediatric services 
  • Commitment to evidence based practice, and integration into every day clinical care 
  • Commitment to ongoing education and skill development
