The Role:

Supported by the RCH Foundation we are seeking applications from suitably qualified medical practitioners to enable us to build capacity and clinical excellence within the Apheresis Service.


You will be responsible for:

  • Providing medical leadership to develop a comprehensive ambulatory apheresis service at the RCH supporting existing and emerging clinical indications for apheresis.
  • Providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing apheresis procedures
  • Developing and supporting a clinical governance structure to ensure timely access to best practice apheresis procedures
  • Developing procedures and guidelines including technical specifications
  • Contributing to the development of the service, including data collection, evaluation and reporting of a range of clinical quality, safety and access indicators

You will have:

  • Specialist medical registration in Australia
  • Relevant training and experience in in a discipline utilising apheresis procedures
  • Demonstrated capacity to work harmoniously and collaboratively within a team of highly capable health professionals
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and experience with apheresis procedures for a range of disorders
