The Hospital:

The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) provides secondary and tertiary care to children and young people across the northern and western suburbs; specialist paediatric healthcare to the children of Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and parts of South Australia; and is the designated state-wide provider of services including paediatric trauma, rehabilitation and forensic medicine. As a quaternary centre for complex cardiac surgery and organ transplantation, the RCH cares for the sickest children from around Australia.

The Role:

Specialist Clinics operates all medical outpatient services at RCH.

The position of Clinic Coordinator is a front line customer service role involving a high level of interaction with patients and their families, medical, nursing and allied health staff. The position is responsible for allocated department/clinic portfolios and is required to have in depth knowledge of this area to allow the provision of specialist administration support.

T

hey will be the main point of contact for their allocated departments/clinics for administration issues, liaising with the relevant Specialist Clinics Team Leader as required, and a point of escalation and support for their Customer service team.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • High level customer service skills
  • Demonstrated experience in using computer applications, including but not limited to, RMS, EPIC and IBA
  • Previous experience working in a busy front line customer service based role
  • Previous experience in a Specialist Clinics or Healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
